The Geoffrey Gardiner Dairy Foundation Limited was established in 2001, with its brief being to fund activities for the benefit of the Victorian dairy industry and dairying communities, for the benefit of the wider community.

Members of the Board, which comprises a Chairman and four Directors, oversee the operations of the Foundation.  Members of the Foundation are:

• Victorian Farmers Federation Property trust Ltd on behalf of the United Dairyfarmers of Victoria Commodity Group of the Victorian Farmers Federation
• Milk Processors Association of Victoria Inc
• Victorian Dairy Products Association Inc

What we do

The Foundation has assets in excess of $60 million, which are managed by reputable fund managers.

Our purpose is to fund projects which benefit the Victorian dairy industry and dairying communities which may include:

• Research, development, extension, technology transfer
• Education, training, skill development
• Projects benefiting Victorian dairy communities
• Other activities which improve dairy industry productivity and sustainability in accordance with the Victorian Dairy Act, 2000.
