GARDINER DAIRY SCHOLARSHIPS
In recent years dairy farmers have faced extreme operating challenges through factors impacting their operations and farm income, such as drought and the global financial crisis.
In response, the Foundation introduced the Gardiner Dairy Scholarship Program which is designed to help deserving applicants overcome the financial hurdles associated with further study and allow them to pursue their choice of further education and the long term career opportunities that flow from that education.
The Scholarships are intended to assist families with the high costs of relocating young family members during the first year of study, including living and transport costs, tuition fees, books, etc.
The Program offers $10,000 scholarships for students entering first year undergraduate studies at university, and $5,000 scholarships for students entering study programs of minimum 2 years’ duration at TAFE institutions.
The Gardiner Dairy Scholarship Program (University) for is closed for 2010.
