STRENGTHENING SMALL DAIRY COMMUNITIES

Strengthening Small Dairy Communities - Lower Tarwin Valley project

The Lower Tarwin Valley project district is made up of the communities of Buffalo, Dumbalk, Fish Creek, Koonwarra, Meeniyan, Stony Creek, Tarwin Lower, and Venus Bay, and the district in between. The project is being delivered in partnership with South Gippsland Shire Council and GippsDairy, between 2010 and 2013.

To support community members to gain practical experience and greater confidence in applying for and managing grants, the Gardiner Foundation is providing up to $150k for community projects through three funding rounds in 2011 and 2012. These grants will help fund new community infrastructure and events, and provide valuable seed funding with which communities can leverage larger grants from other funding bodies.

Community project funding now available!

The Lower Tarwin Valley project communities are now invited to apply for grants of up to $10,000 to support community projects in Round 2 of the funding program.

Funding round 2 – Lower Tarwin Valley communities:

  • Opens Wednesday 29 February 2012

  • Closes 5 pm Friday 11 May 2012

Please read the funding guidelines carefully and check your eligibility, before submitting an application.
